Alison Bechdel brings her distressing relationship with her father to life in this graphic memoir.  Alison’s father, prior to his death, was both an English teacher and director of a funeral home, of which his family came to call the Fun Home.  Shortly after coming out as a lesbian, Alison finds out that her father was also gay. After his death, Alison struggles through the discomforts of not knowing who she is, as well as the mysteries her father left behind.
